Rodney R. Lafon Performing Art Center
As the cornerstone of the St Charles Parish Schools community infrastructure, the Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center is a new world-class facility dedicated to elevating the social and cultural life of the historic district through the visual and performing arts. At the heart of the new 69,000 gsf project lies the 1304-seat Shell Theater, a dramatic proscenium space with state-of-the-art presentation capabilities. Also included are a 200-seat black box theater, dance studio, ensemble rehearsal studios, television production suite, piano lab, digital and interactive media labs, and education wing celebrating a diverse program of artists, students, and community members.
