The New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, draws from an exceptional roster of young Fellows to serve as a laboratory for the teaching, performance, presentation, and experience of music. This dynamic new 107,000 gsf, $160 million performance facility incorporates a 756-seat vineyard style concert hall, large rehearsal hall, and state-of-the-art ensemble rehearsal and practice rooms. Electronic infrastructure allows full audio and video presentation anywhere in the world, including the facility’s iconic ‘wallcast’ front lawn concerts. Nagata Acoustics provided acoustic design services for the project, with ED+A Acoustics providing acoustics consulting during construction and CA phases.
